July 27, 2019
Sta. Elena, Camarines Norte
The town of Sta. Elena is situated in a secluded area in the province of Camarines Norte. The town is four hours away from the capital making public transportation and basic services rarely accessible. When the farmers and their families heard the news of the Farmers’ Day Program, they eagerly anticipated the foundation’s arrival.
The towns people of Sta. Elena are known for their quiet reserve so the day started with ice breakers to get encourage everyone to get over their shyness. Moms, dads and children then participated in parlor games. They played Cookie Face, Trip to Jerusalem and a local game called Hephep-Hooray. The farmers and their families were also treated to haircuts and posed for pictures at the photobooth. It was a truly enjoyable day, and it ended with broad smiles, grateful hearts and pictures to commemorate an enjoyable experience.
